Nobody wants to talk about it but....diarrhea or more commonly known Montezuma’s revenge is a fact of life in this tropical paradise.
You’re told....”don’t drink the water.” So being 2 Canadians well versed in 'being prepared' from our 'girl guide and scout' days, hubby installed not one but two water filters before the lines come into the house as well as an RO system that has FOUR additional filters for the drinking water. Now that’s safe right?
Could be?! But it’s not always the water in your house.
Maybe it’s the meat? After all if you go to the supermarkets and the central market, meat is NOT refrigerated. So, we don’t buy that meat.
Maybe it’s the veggies? So we go about washing them thru the 2 main filters into the house.
Whatever it was hubby and I both have IT now. It’s been 5 days and we're still not back to complete health but, not as bad as first day.
The first day is when you rush out and purchase the ‘said’ remedy. Ok, it didn’t work the first day...but after a few days....hmmm not bad!
Decided to just go veggie and make a Greek salad. Next day the runs again!
Maybe it’s the eggs. After all the salad had raw eggs and in Mexico they don’t refrigerate any of their eggs, anywhere!
Hmmmm now that could be a possibility.
Back to the anti-diarrhea tabs.
Maybe manana it will be better??!
Sometimes you just put up with the inconveniences...after all there is sunshine and sand everyday and luckily our lil casa has four bathrooms!!!!
Just a few thoughts from 2 Canadians living and loving it in Mazatlan.
