It doesn't mean anything is wrong with the marriage...it just means, you go that way and I'll go this way and we'll meet up later.
And that is what happened this week.
Hub decided to join our neighbour on his 45' sail boat for a week. A few other people would be joining them and so the word was given...'We're leaving in 2 days Linda, where's my note pad and pens?!!!'
It should be noted that Hub is a list maker, from what food and clothes to bring, to what mechanical stuff needs repairs.
It has been known to drive one or two people crazy.
There's the packing!
And the repacking!
But the day finally does arrive and Hub's ready!
Being the good wife, I drive him down to the boat where it takes 3 trips to the sailboat just to get his stuff onboard.
Finally we say goodbye at the dock...
And returning home I find a leaking washing machine! Now it's not that I had planned on doing laundry every day while Hub's away...but really...he hasn't even got out of port yet!
Days roll on by, People call and ask...'So what do you do when he's gone and you stay at home, alone?'
I give it some real thought...
pause for effect...
and tell them...
"Ohhhh nothing out of the ordinary."
Just a day in the life of two Canadians,
living and loving it in Mazatlan...our home in Paradise!
